87,951 enrolled to vote in Lyne by-election
A total of 87,951 Australians are eligible to vote in the Lyne House of Representatives by-election on Saturday 6 September, the Australian Electoral Commission Divisional Returning Officer for Lyne, Ms Vicki Holman, announced today.
This figure compares with 86,784 electors who were enrolled in the electorate of Lyne at the close of rolls for the 2007 federal election.
The electoral roll closed at 8pm, Friday, 8 August for the Division of Lyne House of Representatives by-election.
Voting is compulsory for Australian citizens aged 18 years and over who are enrolled in the electorate of Lyne.
