Financial Disclosure
The financial disclosure scheme established under Part XX of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 deals with the disclosure of information about political donations and expenditure. The scheme was introduced to inform the public about the financial dealings of parties, candidates and others involved in the electoral process. It requires candidates, registered political parties and their associated entities, donors and certain other people to lodge annual or election period financial disclosure returns with the AEC. These returns are made available for public inspection on this website. Financial Disclosure Overview
